Established in 2002 PTP Group transformed from a small laboratory into the largest PET recycler in Czech Republic with annual production capacity of over 12.000 tons of products of PET-M pellets and flakes. PTP Group does not produce pre-forms any longer, focusing on PET pellets and flakes, operating in more than 10 countries via regional branches of affiliated/partner companies. PTP has gained respect and reputation among major producers of both food packaging and strapping bands due to the growing standards of quality of services and products

Advantages of PET-M recycling technology and effective management are the keys of successful functioning of PTP business.

PTP has strong ambitions of expanding its business in Europe and in North America. According to the business development strategy approved by the board of shareholders, in the next 4 years PTP will launch 10 PET-M production plants with overall production capacity of more than 150.000 MT per year.

PET-M technology is also transforming. Our new modifier’s composition developed by our skillful scientists has reduced its price by half. The modification reaction is taking place directly during the extrusion. In our process we are using the most recent technical innovations from the leading machinery producers. PTP is working closely with the largest pipe producer in Czech Republic, developing new, PET based materials for pipe production industry. This will allow extension of post-consumer PET application field.

A brief story of PTP

April 2, 2001

PTP (Plastic Technologies and Products) company is established. Principal activities of the company are in the field of recycling of post-consumer polymer materials (PP, PE, HDPE, PET, PC) that is achieved through a proprietary chemical modification process (PET-M) to restore mechanical properties of the polymers.

March 29, 2002

PTP-produced bottles containing up to 100% of recycled PET-M are approved for food contact by the respective Czech regulatory body. (Certificate No. 47210774/1 dated March 29, 2002)

May 23, 2002

PTP obtains patent for its proprietary PET-M technology.

June 2003

PTP completes its first full-cycle ("Bottle-to-Bottle") plant in Prague, Czech Republic. Ever since, the Prague plant is used to test and implement numerous technological enhancements, in addition to manufacturing commercial quantities of PET-M.

September 2003

PTP begins continuous industrial-scale production of PET-M (and pre-forms containing various content of PET-M) for use in food-grade bottle applications.
